Why Vara exists

Vara Clinic was created in response to a need for mental health care that feels more connected, more thoughtful, and more clinically supported.

Founded by Brooke Seebohm, a specialist mental health nurse, Vara Clinic reflects Brooke's belief that meaningful care is built through trusted relationships, continuity, and collaboration.

With extensive experience supporting people across community, inpatient and acute mental health settings, Brooke has worked with individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns and has led multidisciplinary teams spanning nursing, medicine and allied health. These experiences highlighted the importance of integrated, person-centred care—where clinicians work together, and people feel genuinely known, supported and understood.

Brooke created Vara Clinic to offer a different kind of mental health care: one that values clinical excellence as much as human connection, where care evolves alongside each person's needs, and where clients, families and referrers feel supported by a collaborative model of care.

Healing doesn't happen in a single appointment. It grows through connection, continuity, and feeling genuinely supported over time.
