Mental health care, designed with more care

Vara Clinic is being created for people who need thoughtful, connected mental health support, and for clinicians who want to practise in a more considered way.

Our model brings together psychiatry, psychology, mental health nursing, and allied health within a calm private setting, supporting both individual care and shared clinical thinking.

For people seeking mental health support

Vara Clinic will offer private outpatient mental health care in Richmond, with access to psychiatry, psychology, and allied health clinicians.

We are building a clinic that feels calm, respectful, and clinically grounded. Care at Vara is designed to support continuity, not one-off or fragmented appointments.

At Vara, you can expect:

  • A private and thoughtfully designed clinical environment

  • Access to experienced mental health clinicians

  • A focus on continuity and therapeutic relationship

  • Collaborative care where appropriate

  • Support for more complex presentations when needed

  • Clear communication and considered pathways of care

The Vara Model

Relational care, by design

Care at Vara is built around continuity, not isolated appointments. We support longer-term therapeutic relationships and thoughtful clinical follow-through.

Connected, not fragmented

Psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health nurses, and allied health practitioners work within a shared clinical environment, with opportunities for collaboration and case discussion where appropriate.

A considered environment

Vara is designed as a calm, private space that supports regulation, focus, and high-quality clinical work for both clients and clinicians.

Clinicians

A different way to practice

Vara Clinic is being built for clinicians who value depth of care, autonomy, and thoughtful collaboration.

We are creating a small, carefully selected community of psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health nurses, and allied health practitioners who want to work in a calm, well-supported environment without the pressure of volume-driven care.

Founding practitioner opportunities are limited

Why Vara exists

Vara Clinic was created in response to a need for mental health care that feels more connected, more thoughtful, and more clinically supported.

Vara Clinic is founded and led by Brooke Seebohm, a specialist mental health nurse with 13 years’ experience in emergency psychiatry. Brooke has worked across complex mental health presentations and has led multidisciplinary teams across medical, nursing, and allied health settings.

Vara brings this clinical background into a private outpatient setting, creating a space where clients, clinicians, and referrers can feel held by a considered model of care.
